The idea of his family owning a scrap yard emphasises his working class credentials, and it possibly could serve as a way of bringing young Ben and Reed together. In the original Marvel comic continuity, Grimm's father is an unemployed alcoholic there's no mention of a family business, with Ben growing up in poverty. 00:19 - A shot of New York at night, and in the foreground there's a sign for 'Grimm Salvage'. Is it a remote location where one of the trailer's many research facilities is located? It's possible it could even be Latveria, the fictional eastern European homeland of Doctor Doom. Either way, New York is a city closely associated with the Fantastic Four, and later on in the trailer it looks like it might figure more heavily.
